Nat,
I am a commercial airline pilot who has been struggling left and right in my career. Andy assured me that your work would be perfect for coaching me through this, but the numbers thing is new to me.
What are numbers, really? What is this Numerology thing about?
-Sam
Samantha,
Numbers are just placeholders for describing patterns in the universe (of which you are one!).
Picture each number as a label for a behavior in nature.
They represent moving and working parts of the cosmos, big and small, visible and invisible, which when integrated together make up the machinery of existence.
Let me give you an example.
Electrons in the shell of an atom are social, traveling at the speed of light, circulating with joy.
They want to connect, travel and correspond with other matter.
The protons at the dense nucleus in an atom are more introverted.
They hold the bond together by staying where they are at, forming a foundation.
The very basis of physical matter requires each element to perform its mission; a task with a unique flavor.
These patterns, personalities and purposes are seen not only in physics and nature, but also in humans.
Have you ever wondered why some people love to socialize and connect, while others like to be by themselves, reserved?
What about children that were BORN with the ability to sing or play an instrument so naturally, while others gravitate toward Lego-building or reading novels?
Each of us has our own role to fill, that is supported and energized by this universal creative genius, that can be partly ascertained through number.
Philosophers, scientists and mathematicians for thousands of years recognized this trend.
In fact, Chinese, Japanese, Greek, Hebrew, Egyptian, Phoenician, Mayan, Incan and early Christians employed the use of numbers to connect with all-that-is.
Pythagoras, a Greek Mathematician, was the most famous numbers-guy.
He founded our number system 2500 years ago of 1 through 9.
Every child in America learns his Pythagorean Theorem in geometry.
But what most people do not know is that Pythagoras also saw that each number had a behavior off the paper; separate from finite equations.
He found that the numbers were not just quantities, but also qualities.
He realized that by calculating the value of a person’s birth date and birth name, he could reveal their true gifts and talents; their place and meaning in the universe.
Albert Einstein came to a similar conclusion about the patterns of the universe.
He thought that ‘God’ was the grand sum of the universe.
“I am convinced that God does not play dice,” Albert Einstein said.
In other words, the universe, and you, is not a random, chaotic, variable happening.
Numbers are a way to dive into the structure of existence, and realize your place in its magnificence.
Numbers are NOT your destiny, or end-all, be-all say in your life.
They are tools that can be used to assist you in fulfilling your deepest desires and dreams.
I hope that helps clarify things, AND gets you excited at the potential road that lies ahead…
